“Birthplace of Sound Film” Walking Tour
Join the Cayuga Museum of History and Art for the summer downtown walking tours, exploring the sites and streets in downtown Auburn which tell the story of the Case Research Lab. Tours will be offered from 10 AM – 12 PM, Mondays & Wednesdays-Fridays, from June 10 – September 13.
Tours are $25 for the general public, $20 for Cayuga Museum members
About the Program
Explore the history of the Case Research Laboratory, the Birthplace of Sound Film, through this 2 hour walking tour of Downtown Auburn. The full tour spans about 1.5 miles, and will include stops along historic South Street, Genesee Street, and Fort Hill Cemetery: exploring the streets where Lab employees lived and worked, learning more about the ways the City of Auburn shaped one of the most groundbreaking inventions of the 20th Century.

To reserve a spot, select the date of your tour and the number of attendees. For safety reasons we cannot accommodate more than 15 individuals on one tour, so if you are booking a tour for a group of 10 or more please contact us directly before purchasing reservations.
