Opening Reception at the Cayuga Museum of History and Art
July 18, 10AM-3:30PM:
Opening weekend tour with curator talks by Larry Poncho Brown at each participating site. Site visits to the Harriet Tubman National Historical Park, Schweinfurth Art Museum, Cayuga Museum of History and Art, NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center, Seward House Museum, and Harriet Tubman Home will be connected by bus. Lunch will be provided at the Carriage House Theater. Registration is required. Parking will be at the Downtown Parking Garage.
July 22, 10AM-12PM:
Tubman’s Tots Youth Program:
Calling all young historians! On July 22, 10am-12pm, the NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center will be hosting a one-time event–‘Tubman’s Tots’. 5-7 year olds are welcome to participate in this free program that introduces the legacy of Harriet Tubman to Cayuga County youth.
Event activities will include historical dress-up, historical figure introductions, coloring and puppet-making, a read-along, and hand painting! Some of Harriet’s favorite snacks will be provided, and every child will walk away with a Tubman activity book and free passes to the Harriet: A Taste of Freedom exhibition.

August 22, 2PM:
Film screening of “Harriet” at the Carriage House Theater.
“Harriet” portrays the incredible true story of one of America’s greatest heroes, Harriet Tubman. From her escape from slavery to the dangerous missions she led, setting free hundreds of slaves through the Underground Railroad.
