About the Teacher
Barbara Corey is a California native whose Swiss mother taught her to knit at the age of five. Sewing came a little later. After relocating to Central New York, Barbara kept up these hobbies while raising two boys and working for over thirty years as a highway design engineer. Since retiring she has been pursuing her fiber interests full time, honing her skills, taking classes and connecting with other crafters. In particular she has been exploring the indie pattern scene and the use of thrifted and repurposed fabric to sew clothes. She is excited to have this opportunity to share her knowledge of sewing with others.
